I am a Joy Activist, a weaver of words,
an Explorer of the Universe.
My passion lies in helping individuals

What magic do you want to weave?
My practical, embodied living, and action-oriented approach empowers you to navigate challenging periods in life and step into your own power to manifest magic in your life.
About Me
I grew up in the dust bowl prairies and long grasses and vast skies of the middle of the United States on Kikaapoi land, now known as Kansas, and in Quapaw Nation land, now known as Missouri. I communed with the moon under those big starry skies, and ran with the winds that blew harsh across the prairies, played with the acorn trees, and picked up many clay rocks.
I relocated in my early 20s to the city now known as Seattle, Washington, a region nestled between the Cascade mountains along the Puget Sound that truly belongs to the Duwamish, Snoqualmie, Suquamish, and Muckleshoot people of the Pacific Northwest. I ended my time there stewarding land on the Olympic Peninsula. There I tended to the gardens, befriended the crows, explored the deep forests, rivers, and oceans for several decades before embarking on my next adventure in life.
Recently, I've relocated to the land of canals, salt marshes, strong old oaks, thorny thistles, and abundant yarrow near the bustling city of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
Ancestrally, I come from hundreds of years of poor rock salt of the earth folks living on North American soil. I have roots that weave through English, Irish, German, and Swedish lands, and echoes of their traditions have been passed through my families through the generations.
All these lands, the history in them, and the transitions between them have helped create who I am and influence my perspective and work.
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
As we manifest magic in our lives, we must also be honest with what IS. We must see and name the systems of oppression for what they are, so we can perform our sacred responsibility to restore balance and heal the harm that’s been done.
The world is in a pivotal stage right now. Let’s work together to envision and actively create a better future more aligned with justice, love, and care. That involves both honoring and tending to the grief and pain as much as the joy and light. It includes seeing the harm where it happens and taking active steps towards divesting and dismantling the systems of oppression wherever they arise.
I've taken a variety of courses and studies focused on trauma informed approaches, facilitating inclusive safer/braver spaces, and focus on diversity, inclusion, and equity and do my best every day to align myself with inclusive accessible work through my hands, heart, altar, and magic. I'm mindful of creating accessibility in my practices and improving as I can along the way. If you have any questions or recommendations, you're welcome to contact me.
I’m an earth-based kitchen witch who has been enmeshed with the energy of the intangible since I was a child. I’m clairaudient and clairsentient, deeply intuitive, and highly empathic. I’ve had nearly three decades of experience practicing and honing my craft, and actively supported my communities with my gifts for nearly a decade before making it into a profession.
My approach has veins of animist, traditional and hedge witch, and folk magic in it. My grandmother taught me to garden by the moon. I talk to the trees and plants, the birds and bees, the home I live in, and the wood I gather. I believe there is more to life than what meets the eye, that everything is energy and no energy is destroyed or created, but only transmuted. I believe we carry the echoes of our ancestors in our bones and blood. That light cannot exist without shadow and balance is a dance we know how to do if we close our eyes and trust our heart to show us the beat.
My approach to guidance, readings, and education is very grounded, actionable, and agency-oriented, focusing on empowerment and community responsibility. What actionable steps can you take today to make tomorrow better?
Because of the many confluences of my lived experience and marginalized identies mixed with various privileges, I’m focused on providing an inclusive and welcoming space where people from all walks of life feel seen, supported, and empowered to step into their full potential.
I’ve made earth-based magic, shadow work, herbalistic healing, and honing my intuition an integral part of my everyday life and an ongoing study for nearly three decades. Since 1995, I’ve actively participated in and co-led several different spiritual circles and collectives, hosted gatherings, attended Druidic rituals, and studied under a variety of teachers, formal and informal, as well as self-guided study that changed how I approach the world and magic. They're listed below in relevant schools and relevant circles and communities.
Besides the below folks, I've also been deeply influenced and changed by writers and inspirtational folxs like adrienne maree brown, Andrea Gibson, Alok Vmenon, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Blair Imani, Ismatu Gwendolyn and many many more.
